Abstract Submission

Open Period¡§August 17th -  September 1st, 2004

Guideline

Abstract for poster session, symposium, workshop shall be submitted online.

 

¢¨ There will be no extension for the submission period noted above. Please keep it in mind that we cannot accept any submission or correction after the deadline.

 

Requirements for the Presenter:

         Presenter must be a member of the MBSJ who has already paid this year¡Çs membership fee.

         As a first author / presenter, you can submit ONLY ONE PAPER.

 

¡¦    Presenter is required to pay not only for the membership fee but the participation fee.

¡¦    Payment sheet for membership fee of this year that have been sent to you is no longer valid. Please ask your Japanese collegue how to pay the membership fee, or contact the following division.

<How to Submit Abstracts Online>

 

1.       Open Period

August 17 – August 27, 2004 (no extension after deadline)

***Submission page will be linked during the open period.

 

2.       Paper Category 

At the front page of the abstract submission system, please choose your paper category from the below.

[SYMPOSIUM] Invited speakers only

[WORKSHOP] Invited speakers only.

[POSTER] Those who are not invited speakers for symposium and workshop.

          

***If you are not an invited speaker for symposium and workshop, your abstract category will be ¡ÆPOSTER¡Ç.

 

3.  Sections to Select

For invited speakers of symposium/workshop, please select your session number (etc. S1A, W3R).

For those who are not invited speakers, please select your abstract sections from the Classifications of the Poster Sessions.

 

4.       Application for Workshop Presenter

Some workshops will pick up some papers in ¡ÆPOSTER¡Ç category for their oral presentation upon application. You can apply when you submit your paper. If your abstract is successfully picked up for workshop, your presentation will be with ORAL ONLY (no poster presentation).

 

5.       Member Number

In the process of your abstract submission, you need your member number.

You will find your number on the cover of an envelop from the MBSJ Secretariat.

If you are new member and do not have your member own number yet, please contact to the MBSJ Secretariat: mbsj-mem@bcasj.or.jp

 

6.       Date of Payment

In the process of your abstract submission, you will also need the date you have made payment of the MBSJ membership fee. The date should be noted on the receipt. If you do not have the date, please follow the instruction below.

 

I have surely paid but lost the receipt:

Input ¡Æ3/3/2004¡Ç in the blank for the date of payment, and input ¡Ælost¡Ç in the blank for the bank you have paid.

 

I am just registering (and so I have not paid the membership fee yet):

Input ¡Æ1/1/2004¡Ç in the blank for the date of payment, and input ¡ÆJust in the process of registering¡Ç in the blank for bank you have paid.

 

8.    Length of Abstract

Your abstract required to be 2,100 bytes including titles and authors. If your abstract has too many characters, it will be printed in very small fonts.

 

9.    Receipt Code

If you have successfully made abstract submission, we will issue ¡ÆRECEIPT CODE¡Ç at the final page of the submission system. You will also find the code in the E-mail message automatically sent as the receipt of your submission. You will need this number for correction after submission. In case you do not receive the E-mail message, please check the E-mail address you have entered and try to submit once again.

 

10.   Correction of Submitted Abstracts

You can modify the abstract you have submitted via internet only for the open period. (No extension after the deadline)

 

11.   Withdrawal of Submitted Abstracts

You can modify the abstract you have submitted via internet only for the open period. (No extension after the deadline)

 

 

¢¨     No submission/correction/withdrawal will be accepted after deadline (August 27, 2004).

¢¨     Make sure that you have received E-mail message of receipt right after your submission.

   In case you do not receive it, your abstract submission is not made properly. Please  

   try again.
